Medicare Advantage和處方藥計劃會員在災難或緊急情況下獲得護理

當醫療保健在災難或緊急情況下中斷時，Blue Shield將為您的最佳利益採取行動。我們將快速回應有需要的會員。我們也將遵循Medicare及Medicaid 服務中心(CMS)的所有要求。在緊急情況下，我們將透過多種方式向會員發送有關獲得醫療保健的資訊。方式可能包括透過電話、郵件、電子郵件、網頁、會員入口網站等方式進行直接聯絡。這將取決於會員偏好和CMS要求。

將透過以下任一方式宣布宣布災難：

  • 根據《國家緊急情況史塔福法案》，由總統宣布進入災難或緊急狀態
  • 根據《公共衛生服務法》第319節由國務卿宣布進入公共衛生緊急狀態
  • 由州長或保護地總督宣布

當宣布發生災難或緊急情況並且護理服務中斷時：

  • Blue Shield of California將承保由網絡外服務提供者向您提供的福利。
  • 您不需要轉診或預先授權。
  • 您將獲得與網絡內提供者所提供的福利相同的費用分攤。
  • 如果需要，您可以提前續配處方藥。

災難結束後，將透過以下任一方式宣布：

  • 由宣布進入公共衛生緊急狀態或宣布進入災難狀態的消息來源宣布結束
  • Medicare及Medicaid 服務中心(CMS)宣布解除公共衛生緊急狀態或災難狀態
  • 如果自宣布進入公共衛生緊急狀態或災難狀態以來已過去三十天，並且CMS的原始來源未確定結束日期，則將視為災難結束。
