Convenience and affordability: Plans are built with affordable benefits and features and lifestyle needs. Optional Supplemental Dental HMO and PPO plans for most members include additional dental coverage.
Freedom and choice: Some of our plans offer more than the standardized benefits with added benefits such as an over-the-counter (OTC) items allowance, hearing aids, vision services, access to Teladoc Health and more, depending on the Blue Shield Medicare Supplement plan you choose.
Covering your prescriptions: Blue Shield offers a prescription drug coverage plan for Original Medicare or Medigap members. It features paying no more than $35 for a one-month supply of insulin, $0 vaccines, and an out-of-pocket cap.
If you qualify for Medicare and Medi-Cal: This plan combines your Medicare and Medi-Cal coverage into one easy-to-manage plan. It offers extra benefits to support your care including a personal care coordinator and dental, vision and hearing benefits. Available in Los Angeles and San Diego counties.
