Blue Shield Promise Cal MediConnect Plan wants to protect your rights and interests. We do this through regular program monitoring and a dedication to continuity of your care.

Program monitoring

Patients participating in Cal MediConnect are protected in many ways. The State of California has put into place ongoing reviews, surveys and other measures to make sure that our members' needs are being met and that their concerns are being addressed. To learn more, visit www.calduals.org.

Continuity of care

Continuity of care is defined as the continuing relationship with your trusted care provider. It's one of our most important goals, so we make it possible for you to request seeing a doctor you already have a relationship with if:

You can show evidence of an existing relationship
The provider is willing to accept plan reimbursement
There are no provider quality or credentialing issues

Quality improvement initiatives

Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan wants to ensure our members get quality care and services. Our Quality Improvement Program (QIP) monitors and evaluates the quality, appropriateness, and outcome of care our members receive.
