Jeff Robertson is chief marketing and customer officer at Blue Shield of California, a 4-million-member nonprofit health plan that serves the state’s commercial, individual, and government markets. Robertson leads the product, brand, digital, and engagement teams, and is responsible for managing our customer care centers and onshoring strategy. 

Robertson has more than 20 years of marketing experience. Prior to joining Blue Shield, he served as vice president of Product, Clubs, Brand and Marketing Communications at Delta Airlines. In that role, he led a global team responsible for onboard and airport product initiatives, clubs, and customer experience, as well as all marketing and brand-related efforts. Previously, Robertson held leadership positions at McKinsey & Company and American Airlines. 

Robertson earned a master’s degree in marketing from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He also serves on the board of directors of Grady Health Foundation in Atlanta.
