AnaLisa Luippold is vice president, operating committee and office of the CEO at Blue Shield of California, a nonprofit health plan with $21 billion in annual revenue serving 4.5 million members in the state's commercial, individual, and government markets. She is responsible for partnering with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer to ensure effective operations of the Blue Shield of California Operating Committee and Board of Directors.
Luippold is an energetic and thoughtful health care executive with over 20 years of experience working in frontline health care delivery, provider contracting, payment innovation and health payor operations. She is focused on finding transformative and sustainable solutions for common health care affordability, experience, and outcome challenges.
Prior to joining Blue Shield in 2008, Luippold served as Director of Operations at SutterSelect, Sutter Health’s self-funded medical plan. Previously, Luippold was Manager of Provider Network Development at Sutter Physician’s Alliance, Manager of Quality and Process Improvement of Sutter Health @ Work, and Advisory Committee Facilitator at Vision Service Plan.
Luippold earned her Master of Health Administration from University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from Smith College.
