Health Reform Timeline

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act. The law puts in place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will roll out for four years and beyond. The 2010 changes began to fill in some of the gaps in current coverage, and increase access, care, and patient protection.

Until the comprehensive reforms are fully implemented in 2014, it is important that you acquire and maintain quality health coverage from a source like Blue Shield.
