If you have not yet provided full payment for your first month of coverage, you will receive an email or paper bill from us with details on how to complete that payment. You will have the option to pay online, over the phone or by check through the mail.
Once we receive and process your full payment your application will be complete and we can assign you an effective date for coverage. If you currently have coverage, please continue paying for it until your new coverage begins. Prior to your first day of coverage, you will receive your member ID card, more details about your Blue Shield benefits and instructions on how to register online and get more information specific to your benefits and coverage.
