Food resources

You may get free food from your local food bank.

Los Angeles

To find a food bank, visit the LA Regional Food Bank or Food Oasis. To talk with someone about food programs and resources available in your area, call 2-1-1, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also visit LA 211.

San Diego

To find a food bank, visit the San Diego Food Bank or Feeding San Diego. To talk with someone about food programs and resources available in your area, call 2-1-1, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also visit San Diego 211.

L.A. Care and Blue Shield Promise Community Resource Centers (CRCs)

CRCs in Los Angeles provide food resources to the community. This includes grocery gift cards. There are no eligibility requirements. Walk-ins are welcome. No appointment needed. First come, first served, while supplies last.

Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Program

Families can keep using their WIC benefits. Keep going to your WIC appointments. WIC offices remain open and are enrolling eligible families.

 

CalFresh Program

You can use your EBT card with any remaining balances as usual. You can still apply for CalFresh benefits online. For more information and updates, call the CalFresh Benefits Helpline at (877) 847-3663, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday.
