Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance

Individual term life insurance from Blue Shield of California Life & Health Insurance Company (Blue Shield Life) can help your clients protect their loved ones from the unexpected. Proceeds can help contribute toward funeral expenses and other daily living expenses in uncertain times.

  • Life insurance can be purchased on a standalone basis without a medical plan.
  • Various increments from $10,000 to $100,000 are available.
  • All requests for life insurance are processed using a dedicated life insurance application form (Application for Individual Term Life Insurance Coverage). Approval is subject to medical underwriting.

Benefit options

Life insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) benefits are available in the following amounts: $10,000, $15,000, $25,000, $50,000, $75,000, and $100,000. Life insurance may be purchased with or without AD&D, but AD&D may only be purchased if a life insurance policy is purchased.  All life insurance and AD&D plans terminate at age 65.
