If you have paid for emergency medical services while traveling outside of the country, Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan covers those services, you may qualify for a reimbursement.
Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan provides up to $25,000 plan coverage limit for emergency care or urgently needed services outside the United States every year. These services are subject to review and approval based on the emergency services outlined in the plan Evidence of Coverage, and Medicare allowable services. Services outside the United States and its territories do not apply to the plan’s maximum out of pocket limit.
See your Evidence of Coverage Chapter 4, Section 2, Benefits Charts, to find your coverage amount. Benefits and coverage limit amounts vary by plan.
