Ancillary provider rosters

We contract with ancillary providers such as ambulatory surgery centers, dialysis providers, skilled nursing facilities, and more.

Blue Shield of California contracts with ancillary providers such as ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), dialysis providers, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), orthotics, home health, infusion and medical equipment providers.

Ancillary providers agree to give services to our members at a discount. We urge you to refer Blue Shield members to the ancillary providers listed below. Your support in using our contracted ancillary providers will help our members spend less for any out-of-pocket costs associated with receiving covered ancillary care.

Please remember that to ensure appropriate access and availability for our members, referrals should be made within 15 miles or 30 minutes of a member's home, or work, if the services are not being supplied at home.

If you have to refer to a provider not listed in our ancillary rosters, an authorization must be coordinated with an HMO member's IPA/medical group. PPO members should be advised to refer to their Evidence of Coverage (EOC) or Certificate of Insurance, or to call Member Services to find out whether a pre-services review is required.
