With the Access+ HMO® plan, you:
When you enroll in the Access+ HMO plan for the first time, you must choose a PCP for yourself and your covered dependents. Each member of your family can choose a different physician and medical group/IPA.
- Have no deductible – just fixed copayments for most services like doctor visits, urgent care, and emergency care
- Have access to one of the largest provider networks in California, with more than 13,000 primary care physicians (PCPs), 50,000 specialists, and 360 hospitals
- Choose a PCP who will coordinate your care and refer you to specialists and hospitals within their medical group/Independent Practice Association (IPA)
When you enroll in the Access+ HMO plan for the first time, you must choose a PCP for yourself and your covered dependents. Each member of your family can choose a different physician and medical group/IPA.

The Trio HMO plan:
To enroll in the Trio HMO plan, you and your eligible dependents must enroll in the same plan. You must also live and work within the Trio HMO service area. For a listing of Trio HMO service areas, visit blueshieldca.com/triocheck.
When you enroll in the Trio HMO plan for the first time, you must choose a PCP for yourself and your covered dependents. Each member of your family can choose a different physician and medical group/IPA.

Use our Find a Doctor tool to see if your doctor is in the Access+ HMO Network and to find specialists, urgent care centers, and other providers.
To search for a primary care physician (PCP) in the Find a Doctor tool, select Primary Care Physician, and enter your location. You can then search for a PCP by selecting Doctor Type, Doctor Name, or Medical Group.
When you enroll in the Access+ HMO plan for the first time, you may need your selected PCP’s ID number. To find this number, once you locate your PCP's name in the Find a Doctor tool, click on the doctor’s name and then select View details under “Primary Care Physician ID.”
