Vision Plans
Vision coverage is an essential part of a comprehensive benefits package that can help your clients maintain a happy, healthy workforce and increase employee productivity, which helps their bottom line. Groups with 101 or more eligible employees can purchase large group vision coverage with or without Blue Shield medical coverage.

Our simplified vision plan portfolio offers plan options that provide a wide range of benefit levels to help you easily find the right vision plan for your clients' needs.
The advantages are plain for your clients to see
Rich plan benefits
In addition to 100%1 standard lens coverage and annual comprehensive exams on all plans, vision plans with $130 and $150 frame allowances provide additional coverage for the most popular lens options: progressive lenses, anti-reflective coating, and photochromic lenses that provide additional sun protection.

Return on investment
Vision benefits offer a positive return on investment by increasing workforce productivity. More than 90 percent of adults report using digital devices more than two hours a day, putting them at risk for digital eye strain. Digital eye strain is the physical eye discomfort felt by many individuals after two or more hours in front of a digital screen.2

Access to large networks
Your clients can offer their employees meaningful benefits when they have access to more than 29,000 ophthalmologists, optometrists, and opticians nationwide, including more than 6,900 in California. Members can receive care at retail locations such as LensCrafters, Sears, Site for Sore Eyes, For Eyes Optical, and Target Optical; wholesale locations including Walmart and Sam's Club; and warehouse providers such as Costco.3
Contact lens benefit
Members don’t have to choose between contact lenses or glasses, because both are covered with our contact lens plans. Our with Contacts plans cover network contact lens services (evaluation and fitting) and up to $120 of contact lens materials as well as a frame allowance during the benefit year or service interval.
